This is a fantastic, high quality and varied role for a proactive Senior Legal Counsel.
 
Southern Cross Healthcare Group is a group of independent health-related businesses. United by a common brand, a not-for-profit philosophy and the goal of achieving better value healthcare for New Zealanders, Southern Cross plays a unique and important role in the New Zealand health sector.
 
They have a need for a Senior Legal Counsel for a fixed term contract of 12 months' duration.
 
Reporting to the General Counsel and working as part of a cohesive and collaborative legal team, the Senior Legal Counsel provides proactive, timely and commercial legal advice and services to all Southern Cross businesses.
 
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
* A minimum of 6 years high quality PQE primarily gained in commercial law
* Consumer/retail financial services experience advantageous
* Previous in-house experience preferred but not essential
* Strong relationship building and influencing skills, and
* A down to earth, solutions focused, warm and engaging interpersonal style
 
Work/life balance is important to Southern Cross so whilst this is a full time role, flexi hours or 4 days per week may be considered.
