The team advises clients throughout New Zealand and works closely with the firm’s equally well-established corporate, commercial property, construction and private client law teams in order to provide clients with comprehensive and integrated advice.
In terms of resource management law, the team has expertise in all areas including obtaining complex resource consents, environmental due diligence, legislative and policy advice, natural resources and primary industries. That includes aquaculture and agriculture, coastal, conservation and tourism issues, large scale infrastructural projects with a particular focus on airport and port planning together with large scale commercial, industrial and residential property development and changes to regional and district planning documents and plan reviews. Their expertise in local government law extends to local body decision making, reserves, roading, advising with respect to submissions on consultation documents and bylaws as well as regulatory enforcement matters.
On a day-to-day basis, the role will see you working directly with their Christchurch based partner who has a wealth of experience in RM matters that enables them to tackle any matter that arises. To be successful in this role, you’ll need a minimum of 3 years RM experience under the belt. The team is known for the high quality work they are involved in and it is not surprising that they have been able to attract some of New Zealand’s top talent.
